COVID-19
We would like to provide an update on our operation during the COVID-19 pandemic.
As you can probably imagine, our business has been negatively impacted by this pandemic. Since the announced provincial-wide lockdown, we have closed our business to any online reservations or walk-in customers. Our staff have been sent home, and we have scaled back our purchase orders from suppliers.
Last week, the Ontario government issued its Phase One reopening plan. We are now in the process of making the necessary adjustments to ensure a safe reopening to both our customers and to our staff.
Here are a few steps we are taking to ensure the safety of using our service:
- All equipments will be properly sanitized using alcohol-based sprays.
- All returned sleeping pads and sleeping bags will be left untouched for at least 3 days, then transferred to a washing facility for thorough cleaning and brought back to shelf afterwards. We are letting them sit for 3 days before touching them to protect our staff. This wait-and-wash process is a step further to ensure our items are safe to use for the next customer.
- All tent groundsheets will be properly sanitized using alcohol-based sprays.
